The colon and acne?

I've had acne since I was a teenager. Was diagnosed as having candida overgrowth in NOvember, so did the diet for that and it's now gone, but my acne is still there. My naturopath says I'm very toxic. Apparently colon cleanse works, but I have no idea where to start or whether it may be dangerous? Has anyone got any advice?
